BANKS TO INCREASE MORE AWARENESS ON New NAIRA NOTES Written by Mbibi Longinus Chinagorom The registered and recognizable banks in Nigeria to increase more awareness and sensitisation on the new naira  notes in the country in order for the public not to be deformed but being informed about the current policy and its instructions attached to the new naira notes.  The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been hailed for taking measures to strengthen the value of the Naira, especially the recent redesigning of the higher-denominations of the banknotes.  The apex bank was hailed  when it took  nationwide sensitisation and awareness exercise on the new currency in the country.  The awareness is very timely and very welcomely. what they are doing is quite a good initiative at this point in time; at least to enlighten Nigerians on the need to return the old Naira notes to the banks.
