 CHARACTER - THE FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS

  The human existential success is inevitable without the bedrock of character. This means that the human existential success has its foundation on character that produces the fruitions and nutritions of our outstanding that sunshine our qualities and direction we will all go in life.



Thus there is no human existence without foundation; and the foundation is character unto success in life. This is the impeccable and indispensable in human beings that enables our endeavours and accomplishments in life and in society as whole.

Apparently, one may ask, what is character? The human character is the aggregate of distinct characteristics qualities of a breed, strain, or type which determines the direction we all will go in life.

Character is nature and nurture; it is nature cultured and disciplined so that natural tendencies are brought under the sway of the moral motive. To produce good and cherish able character, it must be brought under discipline and organized into the structure of a true moral being.

For instance, we hire a person with substandard character but who can produce, we may benefit financially but we have to deal with a lost of other problems caused by their poor character which becomes more of a headache than it is worth. We want to hire and work alongside people who can produce but who also demonstrate exceptional character. Some of such traits are: leader, follower, industrious, elegance, how to inspire people, lover of others, sincerity and so on.

Moreso, good character uses the same standard in every situation. If something is right, it is always right. If it is wrong, it is always wrong. People with good character are consistent and those who try to use multiple standards with different people and in different situations live fragmented lives. When you say you will do something, do you follow through? Are you known as someone who delivers? Or do others sometimes worry that you may give up not show up?

The beautiful thing is that character can be reshaped, reformed, refined as well as altered. It may be difficult but not impossible. It doesn't matter what may have gotten to us or may have influence your character negatively.

Character is like a window through which we see the world. Our windows may have gotten smudged by ridicule from peers, soiled by disappointments, coloured by doubts and splattered by criticism from parents, teachers and the world. It is time to wash your character window, brace yourself and move on.

Refuse to muse over the mistakes of the past and forge ahead. Character is the distinguishing factor between one person and another. When pain comes that means it is time to show character.

Above all, character includes a choice, a settled habit or a bent of will, so that it can be seen in its outcome in our conduct. Character takes up the raw materials of nature and temperament and it weaves it into the strong, well knitted your texture of a fully moralized manhood. Show your character.
